Biography
Professor CHEN Li graduated from Tianjin Polytechnic University with a PhD in textile engineering. His main teaching and research interests include three-dimensional (3D)textile structure material science,advanced composite technology, and mechanics of fibrous materials. He has published over 120 SCI or EI journal papers, conference proceedings, and patents. He works in the development of advanced textile structure materials and composites such as 3D braided preforms, 3D woven preforms, non-woven preforms and these fabrics reinforced composite materials. He has been undertaking and leading a number of research projects supported by the National Natural Science Foundation, the National Key Technology Support Program, the Tianjin Municipal Natural Science Foundation, and the Aeronautics and SpaceCorporations. His research in 3D braided composites had led to the development of 3D textile structure composite material technology in China, which won two Second Classprizes of National Award for Science and Technology Progress.
